The following April 18, 1968, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 9, column 5:
Marine Lance Corporal Robert J. Minol, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Minol of Cedar Lake, Ind., is serving with the Third 8-inch Howitzer Battery, First Marine Division, in the Republic of Vietnam.
The battery's guns support both marine and South Vietnamese infantry units in combat in the Danang area.
