The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:
Leroy Mumm, little son of George and Lydia Mumm, was born July 13, 1890, and died February 10, 1899, aged 8 years, 6 months and 27 days. His death was very sudden and unexpectedly though never strong he has been a patient little suffer[er] during his short life. His last trouble was la grippe and bronchitis. His has been a short stay, but the Lord knows best, and now he is at rest in Heaven. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of their many friends in this their great bereavement. The funeral was held Sunday at the M.E. church, of Sherburnville, at 2 o'clock p.m., Rev. Evans, of Grant Park, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Sherburnville [cemetery] until the resurrection morn.
