MRS. CLAUS MUMM PASSES AWAY

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the Sherburnville Christian church for Mrs. Sophia Mumm, who passed away at her home in Schneider, Ind., on Friday, March 2nd. Death followed an extended illness. The body lay in state at the Sheets funeral chapel at Lowell, Ind.

Rev. Turner had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Sherburnville cemetery.

Mrs. Mumm was born at Beecher, Ill., July 6, 1871, where she spent her happy girlhood. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haase. In the year of 1898 she was united in marriage to Claus Mumm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mumm. To this happy union were born two children: Henry and Fred. The deceased was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away October 22, 1932.

Mrs. Mumm had been ill for a period of three years and death came slowly. She had been a devoted wife and mother and was deeply loved and respected by all who knew her.

She is survived by two children: Fred of Momence, Ill., and Henry of Schneider; one daughter-in-law, and one grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Mumm, Schneider, Mrs. Henry Boyens, Schneider, Mrs. Wm. Schoepke, Woodstock, Ill.; three brothers, William Haase, S. Dakota, Henry Haase, Beecher, Ill., and John Haase, Wisconsin; and a host of grief-stricken friends.
