Rev. K.A. Guenther, pastor of the St. Paul Lutheran church, officiated at the single ring ceremony, which was performed before an altar of ferns and pink and white carnations.
To the strains of Mendelssohn's bridal march, played by Mrs. A.J. Knuth, sister of the groom, the attending couple, Miss Lydia Mussman, sister of the groom, and Robert Wille, cousin of the bride, preceded the bride and groom into the living room. Preceding the ceremony Gilbert Mussman sang "O, Promise Me" and at the conclusion of the ceremony "I Love You Truly."
The bride was dressed in a white georgette gown with rhinestone trimming, and a bridal veil held in place by a head dress of orange blossoms and imitation pearls, carrying a bridal bouquet of white freesias and pink roses. Miss Mussman was prettily attired in a pink georgette dress and wore a corsage of sweet peas.
The bride is a graduate of the Lowell High school and was a student of Teacher's College of Indianapolis and for the past several years has been in charge of the primary department of Oakland school in West Creek township.
The groom is a graduate of the Momence Community High school and since his graduation has been assisting on his father's farm near Grant Park.
At about 7 o'clock a delicious dinner was served to the wedding guests, consisting of intimate relatives of the bride and groom.
The pink and white color scheme was carried out in the table decorations. The bride's cake which was made by the groom's mother, was prettily decorated and topped with an arch and wedding bell.
The young couple will make their home with the bride's parents for the time being.
