This November 20, 1952, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:
Jack Nomanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nomanson, who enlisted in the Navy three months ago, completed recruit training at Great Lakes Naval Center Saturday morning and received the rating of Airman Apprentice.
Mr. and Mrs. Nomanson and family, also Forbes Fairchild, were present for the graduation ceremonies.
Jack arrived home Tuesday morning for a two week leave. He will report to Great Lakes December 2 for further assignment.
At L.H.S. from where he graduated last spring, Jack enjoyed much popularity.
