The following October 18, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:
Cpl. Thomas Faubel, a member of the 5th Army band at Ft. Sheridan, Ill., was a weekend guest at the Homer Ott home at Cedar Lake. Cpl. Faubel is a buddy of Pfc. A.W. Jonelis, fiancé of Joan Ott. The boys received their basic training at Ft. Knox, Ky.
