Gregory L. Potter

Serving on Destroyer

Fireman Apprentice Gregory L. Potter, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M, Potter of Route 1, Lowell, is serving aboard the destroyer USS Allen M. Sumner in the Eastern Atlantic.

His ship departed for an extended deployment to participate in anti-submarine exercises in the Eastern Atlantic.

During the latter part of May, the Sumner will exercise with ships from all NATO nations in the Naval Review at Spithead, England, which commemorates the 20th Anniversary of NATO.
