The following October 12, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5 column 3:
Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Kingery entertained about 40 relatives at their home in Belshaw Sunday, with a pot luck dinner. Herman Baxter, Jr., home on a furlough from Ontario, Calif., and Robert Reel from Great Lakes, nephews of Mrs. Kingery, were the guests of honor. The day was pleasantly spent visiting, playing games and singing old time songs and hymns.
