Mrs. Rouse Surprised

Saturday morning, April 14. Thirty-five Royal Neighbors, of the Lowell Camp gathered together and were conveyed by autos to the home of Mrs. Ida Rouse at Schneider; one of their most esteemed members, to help her celebrate her birthday. The affair proved to be a complete surprise to Neighbor Rouse. However, she soon recovered from the shock and entered into the spirit of the day, playing her part as a royal entertainer. At noon the committee in charge, proceeded to spread an abundance of good eats provided by the Royal Neighbors, after which the entire party was seated with Neighbor Rouse as their honored guest to a sumptuous dinner which was greatly enjoyed by everyone present. After the feast had been partaken of, Miss Josie Degnan entertained with several musical selections which was another very enjoyable feature of the occasion. At the conclusion of this day's pleasure, the Royal Neighbors departed with well wishes to Neighbor Rouse and many more returns of the day.
