On June 6, 1900, he was united in marriage to Minnie Berthold by the late Nathan Worley. No children were born to this union but they have given much time in the rearing of nephews and nieces.
Mr. Sanger has lived in the vicinity of Lowell all his life, was a farmer by occupation, and during the days of horses was a very able horse trader and was considered to always give a fair and just trade. He was a man who made friends wherever he went and enjoyed company and visiting with all who came to his home.
Minnie (Berthold) Sanger, wife of Joe Sanger, was born in Chicago, Ill., Feb. 11, 1865, and departed this life May 19, 1949, at the age of 84 years, three mos. and eight days.
They leave to mourn their going eight nephews, 10 nieces and many friends and neighbors.
Double funeral services were held from Weaver Funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19, with Rev. E.L. Worley officiating. Burials were made in Sanders cemetery.
