The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:
Yesterday afternoon Mrs. M.A. Schutt died at the residence of her brother, Frank DuComb. Mrs. Schutt came to visit Hammond relatives and was taken with the sickness which resulted in her death.
The remains will be taken from here to South Chicago, leaving this place at 5 A.M. tomorrow, and to Walkerton for burial. Mrs. Schutt was the wife of Dr. M.A. Schutt, one of Michigan City's leading dentists.
