PASSING OF AN OLD SETTLER
Mrs. Margaret Schutz passed away at the home of her son, John, at Cook last Tuesday. She was 84 years of age. The deceased was a lifelong resident of Lake county. After leaving their farm northwest of town she and her husband resided in Lowell for many years. After her husband's death she continued to reside here until about a year and a half ago, when because of failing health she went to make her home with her son and family. She was a woman who had a host of friends who will sincerely mourn her death.
She is survived by two sons, John, of Cook and Valentine, of Lowell, and one daughter, Mrs. George Kimmet, of Lowell. She also leaves a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Friday morning at St. Martin church at Cook. Burial was made in the family lot in the church cemetery at Cook.
