The following article was found in the Oct. 19, 1916, Lowell Tribune on
page 5, column 3:
Mrs. Joseph Smith, residing northwest of town, died at the Methodist hospital at Indianapolis yesterday. She has been in poor health for some time. Her funeral will be held at Lebanon, her old home, tomorrow, and interment will be made in Mt. Tabor cemetery.
