The following September 20, 1928, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 8, column 4:
Little Pearl Smith, of Crown Point, was crushed to death a few days ago when a heavy flower urn in a neighbor's yard, around which she was playing, came apart and fell on her. She only lived a short time after the accident. She was six years old.
