The following article was found on page 5, column 6 of the July 26, 1917, Lowell Tribune:
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Graves gave a birthday party July 22 in honor of their daughter, Naomi Glen, it being her second birthday. A large birthday cake, decorated with pink and white icing and two candles, was the center of attraction at the luncheon, which consisted of ice cream, cake and sandwiches. There were thirty-two present.
