Visiting Here from Washington Camp
Pfc. Ernest M. Strassberg is visiting his sister, Mrs. Neil Spry, of Lowell, and brother, George and a sister in Chicago. Ernest has been in the coast artillery for the past two and one-half years on the west coast.
Note the different spelling of his last name in this article.
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the March 16, 1944, issue (page 2, column 1):
Pfc. Ernest Strassenburg, stationed at Ft. Stevens, Washington, visited his sister, Mrs. Neil Spry and family last week. This was Ernest's second furlough in the three and a half years he has been in the service.
