Bert R. Strickland, age 76, of Lowell, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 12, at the Gary Mercy Hospital. Survivors: 1 son, Mr. Clay Strickland of Lowell; 3 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Bailey of Lowell, Mrs. Gwyneth Viers of Lowell, and Mrs. Florene Krutz of Chicago; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Ramone Gearman of Gary. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Sheets Funeral Home, 604 E. Commercial, Lowell, with the Rev. Stanley Rolston officiating. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell. He was a 64 year resident of Lowell, a retired farmer, and a member of the Indian Trail Range of Lowell.
