PFC John Stuhlmacher, US 54819781, H.H.B., I.F.F.V, ARTY, APO San Francisco, Calif., 96350, recently completed the Field Communications Crewman Course at Ft. Leonard. He arrived in Saigon on Christmas Eve and was then transferred to Nha Trang, Vietnam. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stuhlmacher of Rt. 2, Lowell and would enjoy hearing from friends at home.

Receives Medal Commendation

Specialist Four John A. Stuhlmacher, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin J. Stulmacher, Route 2, Lowell, received the Army Commendation Medal last month while serving with I Field Forces, Vietnam Artillery, Nha Trang, Vietnam.

He earned the award for meritorious service as a driver in the artillery's Headquarters Battery.

The Army Commendation Medal is awarded to personnel who while serving with the Army distinguish themselves by heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service. The medal was established by the Secretary of War on December 18, 1945.
