Week-end guests of the Earl Haydens were their daughter, Mrs. Geo. Stuppy of Chicago, and their son, Dr. L.B. Hayden and family of Wilmington, Ill. Mrs. Stuppy expects to leave soon for Washington, D.C. to join her husband, Major George Stuppy, who is in the medical corps.
The following article was found in the January 27, 1944, Lowell Tribune on page 5, column 3:
After spending several days here with her parents, The Earl Haydens, Mrs. G. W. Stuppy
returned to her home in Chicago yesterday. She informed us that a cablegram from her husband, Major G. W. Stuppy, with the U. S. medical corps, recently transferred to an unknown destination, stated that he was safe and well.
