The matron of honor was Mrs. Stanley Forrest Barnes, sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Miss Rachel Catherine Showalter, another sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Miss Marion Patten, of Fort Ben Harrison, Miss Violet Henderson, Miss Isabel Hearne Spofford, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Miss Ruby Surprise, sister of the groom, of Chicago. All attendants carried arm bouquets of pink roses.
The best man was Verle Campbell, and the ushers were Frank Moorman, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Morris Gilbert and Joseph Kanarr, of Lowell, and Harry Clark, of Champaign, Ill., and Stanley Forrest Barnes.
An informal reception at the church followed the ceremony, and in the evening a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for the relatives and intimate friends.
The bride and groom left for a trip on the lakes.
The bride is well known to our people, having taught in the Grade schools here the past year. She is a graduate of the Teachers' College of Indianapolis. The groom is one of our best known young men and is a graduate of Purdue University. We join their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes.
