Fred M. Uhter
The following article was found in the March 23, 1972, Lowell Tribune on
page 6, column 6:
Fred M. Uhter, age 74, of Box 116, Shelby, passed away Saturday, March
18, 1972, at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Dyer.
Survivors include his wife, Vera; two sons, David and Howard, both of
Griffith; five grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Herman, both of
Shelby; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Geller of Crete, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, from the funeral
home at 604 E. Commercial Avenue, Lowell, with Pastor Robert Green
officiating. Burial was made in Lowell Cemetery.
He was a retired employee of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad and was a
member of the Izaak Walton League of Griffith.
