The grief-stricken father told deputy sheriffs that he had just arrived home with a load of gravel, and as he drove in the barnyard the little girl was playing near the gate. He called a greeting to her, and just as he started backing the truck, the little one ran towards him and the truck passed over her before he could stop. The little girl was dead when medical aid arrived.
Surviving are her parents and one brother.
The remains were brought to the Sheets funeral home, where services were held Saturday. Interment, in charge of Kenneth Sheets, was made in Hebron cemetery.
