Mr. Villers was a conscientious worker, and under his care the Lowell cemetery has been developed and become widely known for its beauty and meticulous grooming. Abe will be sorely missed.
Abraham Villers was born on January 6, 1903, in Lexington, Missouri, the son of the late Abraham and Frances Villers. He was married to Irma Carroll on March 8, 1927, and the couple have lived here ever since. Mrs. Villers has been employed at Roberts Drug Store for several years.
Surviving with his wife Irma and eldest son Joseph and wife Shirley, are two other sons, George and Carl, of Lowell. A daughter, Elizabeth, died in 1928. He has three sisters, Mrs. Anna Carroll of Lowell, Mrs. Pearl McCl[el]land, Sandoval, Ill., Mrs. Ethel Geist, Valparaiso; two brothers Heber, Lexington, Mo., and Linzy, of Carney, Mo., besides many nephews and nieces, and a host of friends.
Rev. E.L. Worley will officiate at memorial services which will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday; June 4 in the Sheets Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the Lowell cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of John Eskridge and K.A. Sheets.
