MARRIED 50 YEARS
The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Vinnedge, 135 South West street, Crown Point was celebrated quietly at home Sunday. Among other lovely gifts, the Vinnedges received flowers from her Sunday school class of First Christian church. Another observance of the anniversary date, which was really November 23, was a Thanksgiving dinner with their son, George William, and their daughter, Mrs. Harold Nichols.
The Vinnedges were married by A.M. Hootman, pastor of Lowell Christian church, at the farm home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Belshaw. They lived in Hammond and farmed in the northern part of Lake County before coming to Crown Point, about 17 years ago. Mr. Vinnedge, now retired, was employed at Letz Manufacturing company.
