His father, Mr. Michael Wiatrowski, lives at 4339 Henry Ave., Hammond.
He was a member of the 25th Infantry Division, one of the first U.S. units to fight on the peninsula. It has recently been engaged in patrol activity near the 38th parallel.
Capt. Wiatrowski arrived in Korea last August and served as a member of the S-4 (Supply) section of the 25th Medical Battalion.
Before his recall to active duty in January, 1951, he was employed as a salesman by the Physicians Supply Co. in Hammond.
For his service in Korea he has been awarded the Combat Medical Badge.
