The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in the Lowell Public Library's clipping files:
Clarinda Geraldine Craft was born at Frederickstown, Knox county, Ohio, January 30, 1833. She was married to Wilson M. Wiley in 1853 and the following year moved to Lowell, where she resided for nearly 70 years. She was the mother of seven children, five now living -- Mrs. Charlotte Fehlman, Warren, Headley and Clifford of Chicago, and Mrs. Ollie Sanger of Lowell, and two preceded her. She united with the M.E. church at Lowell by letter in 1855 and was in point of age, also membership, the oldest member of the Lowell church. February 6, she passed away at the home of her daughter, Charlotte Fehlman, in Chicago, at the age of 89 years and 7 days. Funeral services were held by her pastor, Rev. C.A. Brown, at the Lowell M.E. church. Interment at Orchard Grove cemetery, in charge of Undertaker Weaver.
