The following article was found in the August 17, 1872, Lowell Star under "Items from Crown Point"
(page 5, column 2):
Miss Cordelia Wood, daughter of Hon. Martin Wood, who so severely injured her foot while a student ot Oxford, Ohio, some months since, will hardly be able to return to school. She is only able to walk about with the aid of a crutch.
