She died at their home in Crown Point, after but a few days of sickness, October 6, 1900, after a life of 78 years and 5 months, a residence among us as a pioneer of 64 years, and a life as a dutiful and kindhearted wife and then as an affectionate and true mother, of more than 53 years. She has left here, besides her husband, seven children: Mrs. Caroline Randolph of Hammond; W.G. Woods of Ross Township; J.B. Woods of Boone Grove; S.B. Woods, residing on the old farm in Ross Township; Mrs. Charlotte Merrill; Walter L. Woods of Chicago; and Mrs. Alice Cormack of Hammond.
