
This hundred year old photo shows the house at 36, Main Street, Keyworth, taken in the early 20th century. This is the farmhouse which the Belshaw family left in 1834 to set out for the United States.
Paul Hammond adds, "I don't know how much of this house stood during the time of the Belshaws. The high gable ends imply that the house may have been thatched prior to the slate/tile roof shown in the picture. The brickwork looks like Flemish bond."
