This photo, from an unidentified, undated newspaper was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal. The caption under it reads:
Two Lowell women, Edith Hayden and Rena Dahl, are the only remaining members of this group of teachers who taught in the West Creek and Cedar Creek country schools in the early 1900's. Front row (l. to r.) are: Emma Miller, Edna Sprague, Grace Love, Stella Bates, Clara Pixley, Nora Sanger, Edith Hayden, and Gertrude Foster Love. Center row (l. to r.) Anna Ebert and Carrie Coster Daum. Top row (l. to r.): Lula Spalding, Rena Dahl, Sadie Morey, Frank Robinson, Roy Daum, Ernie Gregg, Jud Sanger and Frank Stuppy. The picture was taken circa 1902-04.
