Pastor Loren Holt delivered the message, "Go Ye, and Preach the Word," and extended the call, so solemnly accepted by Mr. Brown. Others participating in the ordination service included his great uncles, Rev. Edmund Worley, pastor of the Shelby Church of Christ, and Rev. Edson Worley, pastor of the Sheldon, Ill., Church of Christ; also Rev. Logan Dunham of the Hebron church.
The Laying on of Hands was conducted by Elders Frank Worley, grandfather of the new minister, and Thorne Clark, Lyle Ruley. Gene Poer, all of Lowell, Carl Dilley of Hebron, and Francis Miland of Griffith.
The ordination prayer was given by Gene Poer of Lowell, and invocation by Gordon Clymer of Lowell, his roommate at Ozark Bible College.
A graduate of Lowell high school, class of 1950, Millard studied at Lincoln Bible school, Lincoln, Ill., for three years, and last year attended Ozark Bible College, at Joplin, Mo. He is now preaching at the Church of Christ in New Elliot.
Relatives and close friends gathered at the Brown home for refreshments after the service.
