Spent Sunday With Sister
S/Sgt. Ralph Forney spent Sunday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Helen Cox. He has been enjoying a 21-day furlough from his duties in Australia, where he has been stationed for the past 14 months. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Forney and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Williamson and Karen.
Two other brothers are also serving overseas, S 1/c Eugene Forney, who is operating a submarine "somewhere" in the southwest Pacific, and S/Sgt. Richard Forney, with the U.S. air forces in England.
This April 12, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 4:
Harold Hayden of Wood, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hayden of Harvey, Ill., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Forney in Hammond.
