Former Lowell Pastor And Wife to Mark Golden Anniversary
Rev. and Mrs. William Hargrave will mark their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 14, and an open house is being planned by their daughter, Mrs. Helen Schafer, who, through this invitation, cordially invites friends in this community to attend.
The observance will be held at the Hargrave home, 405 Elm St., Greencastle, Ind., from 2 until 6 p.m. Rev. Hargrave was pastor of the Methodist church here 11 years ago.
Mrs. Arthur Snyder informs friends that a cash gift is being collected, and anyone who wishes to contribute should contact her. Congratulatory notes and cards sent to the celebrants will also be an appreciated tribute.

WILLIAM HARGRAVES TO MARK 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Rev. and Mrs. William Hargrave, who formerly resided here when Rev. Hargrave was pastor of the First Methodist church 11 years ago, will mark their 50th wedding anniversary on August 10th. Their home in Greencastle, where they now live in retirement, will be the scene of an open house being planned by their children.
Lowell friends are collecting funds to surprise the Hargraves with a cash gift. Anyone wishing to contribute and sign the card of congratulations should call Mrs. Arthur Snyder, Lowell 3592.

ATTEND ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE HONORING REV. AND MRS. HARGRAVE
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Snyder, accompanied by Mrs. Lewis A Starr and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Pattee, traveled to Greencastle Sunday, Aug. 14, where they attended the formal open house celebration marking the Golden Wedding anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. William Hargrave.
The Rev. Hargrave served as pastor of the First Methodist church here from 1939 to 1942. He is now retired, having been the minister of 12 congregations.
Lowell friends brought with them greetings and gifts from many former parishioners.
Among the gifts received by the celebrants was a lovely television set, gift of their children.
Enroute home the Snyders, Pattees and Mrs. Starr enjoyed supper at Turkey Run State Park.
