Staff Sergt. Mell Jones, Jr., who just recently returned from England where he served as flight leader of his bombing crew, related some interesting phases of his trips over the continent, which he described as a thrilling experience.
"I was always lucky enough to get back home," he said, "but not all of my buddies were so fortunate. If people only knew what was going on over there," he concluded, "they would put their shoulder to the wheel a little harder. There's a war to be won, and it takes more than just the men in service to do the job-the people at home have an equal responsibility."
In connection with the regular meeting, the name of Pvt.Leonard Storey, of DeMotte, who has been missing in action in the North African sector since November 1st, was added to the roll as honorary member of Lowell Post 101.
On behalf of the entire membership, Commander F.W. Minninger, thanked the Post's four honored guests for appearing at the meeting and wished them a safe and speedy return from the present conflict.
