Mrs. Love has been an invalid for a number of years, and for the last three months has been quite closely confined to her home, part of the time being bedfast. The immediate cause of her death was a severe hemorrhage of the brain.
Besides her husband, her nephews -- Roy Dickey, of Riverside, California, and Frank Love, of Grant Park, Ill., were at her bedside when she passed away.
Clara Love was born October 19, 1859, near Sherburnville, Ill., the daughter of Volney and Julia Dickey. She was married to Francis A. Love in the year 1876. Their only daughter, May, passed away a number of years ago.
Two brothers and three sisters survive her -- Elwin Dickey, of Santa Ana, California, Otis Dickey, of Edmonton, Canada, and Mrs. Lora Finnerty of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Mrs. Julia* Dodge, of Grant Park, Ill., and Mrs. Lewis Childress*, of Lowell.
Interment was in Evergreen cemetery, Riverside, California.
* NOTE -- The list of siblings in this article includes a "Mrs. Julia Dodge" and a "Mrs. Lewis Childress." Actually, those two sisters were Lucinda Dickey Dogde (Mrs. Julius Dodge) and Julia Viola Dickey Childress (Mrs. Lewis Childress.)
