Danville, Ill., Dec. 29. -- Catherine McVey, 104 years old, who was pastry cook at a Danville hotel when Abraham Lincoln stayed there, died suddenly yesterday. Her husband died 25 years ago, and after his death she never went to bed, but always slept in a chair.
