A popular girl, Janett was sponsored by the Wildwood Home Ec club as queen candidate for the title of "Miss Lowell Centennia.l. Janett has the well wishes of her many friends for success in her chosen field. She will soon be "at home" at the world's largest air force base, Lackland, Texas.
Janett and Carl were married on the 12th of March in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Janett was attired in a white linen suit with blue accessories. Carl was in uniform.
The maid of honor, a friend of the bride's, Darlene O. Ware of Newberg, Oregon, was donned in a red knit suit with blue accessories. The best man was a friend of the groom's, James L. Fortus of Louisville, Kentucky.
Janett is a graduate of Lowell high school and is a Corporal in the Women's Army Corps. She was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, for a year, but following her 28 day leave she will be enroute to Japan.
Carl attended Mr. Ayr high school and is now serving with the U.S. Marines. He is stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point, North Carolina.
