Frances Ellen Kenner was born in Whitley, Indiana, November 19, 1853. The greater part of her life was spent in this county, the family residing near Aix. Several years ago the family moved to a small farm near this city and following the death of Mr. Casey, who was killed when he fell from the rear end of [a] wagon near the Monon railroad tracks about two years ago, she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harry Swartzell. She was 73 years, 4 months and 21 days of age at the time of her death.
Deceased is survived by four daughters and three sons, namely: Mrs. Harry Swartzell, of this city; Mrs. Clarence Garriott, of Valparaiso; Mrs. Will Makin, of Union township; Mrs. Charles Lakin, of Parr; Edward Casey of Gary; Otto and George Jr., of Denver, Colorado.
Funeral services were held from the Brushwood U.B. church Tuesday afternoon at 1 with the Rev. George H. Clarke of Franklin, a former pastor, in charge. Interment was made in the Prater cemetery.

Mrs. Casey, with her husband, lived in Lowell for some time several years ago and was well known to many of our people, who extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
