FORMER LOWELL RESIDENT DIES FROM HEART ATTACK AT BENTON HARBOR, MICH.
John Castle, 61, Born and Reared Here, Had Been Working in Michigan for Some Time
John Castle, 61, former resident here, passed away at Benton Harbor, Mich., Monday night, after suffering a heart attack. He had been employed in that city for some time. He was born and reared here, where he lived with his family for many years until moving to East Chicago. He followed the undertaking business while here, being employed by the late Mrs. Barbara Schur, and later by William Sheets. Since leaving Lowell, however, he had followed other lines of work.
He leaved to mourn his passing his wife, the former Ione Chapman; one son, Dale, of Beverly Hills, Ill., one daughter, Jenette of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Alyea of Lowell and Mrs. Cecil Johnson of Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be held at East Chicago tomorrow (Friday), with interment at Lowell cemetery at 1 p.m.
The Cedar Creek Township cemetery book shows John Castle as born in 1884, died in 1945, and buried in row A1 of the Lowell Cemetery.
