Some fifty years ago Mr. Hathaway united with the Methodist church of West Creek, and has always lived true to his experience.
Funeral services were held January 25th at the Roanoke M.E. church, Rev. D.C. Souder officiating. Burial in I.O.O.F. cemetery at Roanoke.

Strickland, of Hammond; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strickland, and Mrs. Fred Buse, of East Chicago; Mrs. Eva Conrad, of DeMotte; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hale, of Martinton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ayers, of Gary; Rev. and Mrs. C.E. Smith, of DeSota, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bickel, of Bippens, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. John Carstens and daughter, Hilda, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Clawson, of Fort Wayne; Alva Hayden, of South Whitley, Ind.
* NOTE -- This obituary lists Mahlon Hathaway's date of death as Jan. 22, 1934, but the Hayden Family reunion records list it as Jan. 23 of that year.
