He was twice married, his first wife being Mary McCoy. On July 25, 1900, he was united in marriage to Anna J. Doywall. To this union was born two daughters, Jessie and Bertha, and one son, William.
The deceased moved to Lowell many years ago, where he had a host of friends who greatly respected him for his . . . [a line is illegible] . . . was a good citizen, a faithful husband and a kind father. For many years Mr. Hendricks has been the faithful caretaker of the Lowell cemetery and always kept it looking in the best of condition, and those who have loved ones buried there will miss the faithful care he has taken of their lots.
He leaves to mourn him, his wife, two daughters, one son, two sisters, Mrs. Ben Davis and Mrs. Vincent Singleton, of Lowell, and one brother, Abe, of Noblesville, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Friday at 1 p.m. and were largely attended. Rev. C.A. Brown preached the funeral sermon. Interment was made in Lowell cemetery in charge of Undertaker Weaver.
A Card: We desire to thank our neighbors and friends for the many kind acts during the illness of our dear husband and father, and offered such kind words of consolation when death relieved his sufferings.
