A copy of the following newspaper article, hand-dated Dec. 30, 1953, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
A letter from their niece, Mabel Collins Bryan, of Little Rock, Ark., informed C.U. Ragon and Mrs. E.A. Surprise of the death on Christmas Day of L.A. Henry, 60, husband of their niece Mira Collins, also of Little Rock. Mrs. Minnie Collins, sister of Mr. Ragon and Mrs. Surprise, and her daughter Mabel, had been dinner guests of the Henrys. He was apparently in excellent health when they left for home two blocks away, but died moments later of a heart attack. Mr. Henry visited here on several occasions and the Collins are former Lowell residents. Mrs. Collins is the former Minnie Ragon.
