A lifetime resident of Lowell, Garda was born here Oct. 29, 1898, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Hepp. He married Clara McCormick Aug. 27, 1936, at Kentland, and they made their home here, where Garda has worked for various Lowell business establishments.
Survivors include his wife, three brothers, William and John of Lowell and Fred of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. James (Lena) Jensen of Lowell and Mrs. Lucille Gunn* of Kankakee, Ill. Two sisters, Catherine and Grace, are deceased.
Rev. E.M. Boney, pastor of St. Edward's church, will officiate at memorial services which will be held Friday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home. Interment will be made in Lowell cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of John Eskridge.
* NOTE -- In other articles the married name of Lucille Hepp appears as "Lucile Gund" rather than "Lucille Gunn."
