March 29th, 1888, he united in marriage with Sallie Knight. Three children were born to them: James Cecil died in infancy. Mr. Love was an invalid several years. He died in Wesley Memorial Hospital, Chicago, May 22, 1925. His wife and two daughters, Rose, now Mrs. Ward Powers, and Mary, now Mrs. Grant Frederick, survive. Two brothers, William and Peter, are living.
Mr. Love had a wide acquaintance and a multitude of friends. He was a successful business man, a stockholder and director of the Peoples State Bank of Crown Point and Treasurer of the Lake County Fair Association. He has been associated with the I.O.O.F. and Knight of Pythias fraternities. His home life was happy. He was a kind and indulgent husband and father. He loved God, his neighbors and his home.
The funeral service was held in the Leroy Methodist Church Monday at 2 o'clock. Rev. C.A. Brown of Lowell preached the sermon. Rev. Akers sang two beautiful selections. Interment in the Salem cemetery.
Mr. Love was a man who had a wide acquaintance over the county and at one time was Commissioner, filling out the unexpired term of Levi Hutton. He was a man who bore the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He had a large circle of friends in Lowell who will regret to learn of his death.
