Theresa Elizabeth "Tracy" Berg Schmal (1878-1926)

Tracy Elizabeth Berg was born September 19, 1878, at Goodenow, Ill., and passed away at St. Margaret hospital, Hammond, September 15, 1926, at the age of 47 years, 11 months and 26 days. The cause of death was peritonitis. She was united in marriage to Fred W. Schmal, April 14, 1903. To this union four children were born, two daughters -- Maurine and Viola E. and two sons -- Robert E. and Richard C.

The deceased was a woman who bore the esteem and respect of everyone who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. She was a dutiful daughter, a faithful and loving wife and a kind mother.

She leaves to mourn her death, her aged mother, Mrs. Nicholas Berg, of Lowell; her husband; two daughters; two sons; two sisters -- Mrs. Henry Heiser and Mrs. C.B. Viant, of Lowell; three brothers -- George, of Glendale, California; Frank, of Crown Point, and Edward of Lowell.

Funeral services were held at St Edward church Sunday at 2:30 p.m., where a large number
