Her late husband was a prominent and very successful Shelby businessman for many years, coming here from Canada. He was a hardware and implement dealer. Hattie came to Shelby after her marriage to Sam, 60 years ago last summer. She was born in Kansas March 16, 1875, the daughter of Frank and Amelia Regnier. A former school teacher, Mrs. Sirois was active in social and church groups until illness forced her retirement.
Mr. Sirois passed away ten years ago, and a daughter, Mrs. Adam (Mable) Dorsch, preceded them in death. Survivors include three sons, Earl of Shelby, Ernest of Chicago, and Samuel of Bloomington; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; four brothers, Ben Regnier of Montana, Ned and Lawrence Regnier of Hammond, and Oscar Regnier of Chicago.
Rev. John Woods officiated at a requiem Mass offered at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Therese's church in Shelby. Interment was made in St. Edward's cemetery, Lowell. Arrangements were in charge of the Weaver Funeral Home.
