During the afternoon and evening one hundred fiity relatives and friends called at the Sirois home to extend congratulations. Refreshments of wedding cake and coffee were served the guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Sirois were married at St. Rose church, Kankakee, Ill., on August 18, 1894. They began their married life in Shelby, where they have since resided, living over 40 years in their present home. Mr. Sirois has been in the hardware and implement business in Shelby for over a half century, the last several years being in partnership with his son, Earl. Sam, however, is still active in the business, even if he does not put in as many hours as he formerly did.
Two of the Sirois' three sons, Ernest, of Chicago, and Earl, of Shelby, together with their families, spent the day with them. Lt. Samuel Sirois, Jr., with the U.S. forces stationed at Camp Dix, N.J., could not leave his duties to be with his parents.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Sirois are in excellent health and their many friends over southern Lake county and elsewhere wish for them many more years of happy wedded life.
