Perry Decalvus Clark (1835-1904)

The Lowell Star, Aug. 17, 1872, page 5, column 3, had a list of soldiers who were supporters of Grant in that election. Among them was Perry Clark of the 43rd Ill.

The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:

NOTE -- Various articles have P.D. Clark serving in either the 42nd or the 43rd Ill. Vol. Inf. The monument in the town of Lowell lists a P.D. Clark as having served in the 43rd Ill. during the Civil War.
