I, Gracia Belle Brant Fitzgerald being of the age of eighteen years and upwards, hereby apply for membership in the Society by right of lineal descent in the following line from Samuel Nichols who was born in Norwalk, Conn. on the 9 day of January 1758 and died in Fenner, New York, on the 18 day of December, 1849. His place of residence during the Revolution was Norwalk, Conn.
2. The said Gracia B. Grant was the child of William Calvin Nichols born on 11-10-1845 at Cedar Creek Twp, Lake Co., died at Lowell, Indiana, on 12-4-1913 and his (first or __ ) wife Mary J. Gragg born on 3-27-1848 at _______, died at Lowell, Indiana, on 11-21-1897, married on 3-26-1871.
3. The said William Calvin Nichols was the child of Horatio Rice Nichols born on 1-26-1818 at Fenner, New York, died at Lowell, Indiana, on 4-13-1897, and his (first or __ ) wife Phoebe Eliza Kenyon born on 1-3-1826 at _____, died at Lowell, Indiana, on 10-12-1912, married on 1-23-1845.
4. The said Horatio Rice Nichols was the child of William Nichols born on 5-14-1795 at _____, died at _____ on 7-6-1881, and his (first or __ ) wife Nancy Subrina Ferry Randall x born on _____ at _____, died at Petersborough, N.Y., on 3-1-1825 married on 9-19-1813. [NOTE -- "Nancy" has a line drawn through the word, and the name "Sabrina Ferry x" was hand written above "Nancy Randall." A 1983 "Pioneer History" column by Town Historian Richard Schmal, however, lists Nancy Randall, daughter of David and Subrina Randall, as the wife of William Nichols.]
5. The said William Nichols was the child of Samuel Nichols born on 1-9-1758 at Norwalk, Conn., died at Fenner, New York, on 12-18-1849, and his (first or __ ) wife Hannah Ressequie born on 5-9-1757 at Ridgefield, Conn., died at Fenner, New York, on 11-21-1827, married on 7-23-1777.
