The following article was found in the March 4, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 5, column 2:

Spending the day with Mrs. Miller and enjoying the dinner were Mrs. Arthur Miller and sons of Merrillville, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rudolph, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stahl and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miller and family.
This July 31, 1958, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 3, column 3:
Martha Ellen (Oster) Miller passed away on Wednesday, July 23, at the age of 94. She was born in West Creek township February 22, 1864, the daughter of Jonathan and Barbara Oster. She was one of six children, all of whom preceded her in death except a sister, Mrs. Emma Graves of Momence, Ill., and a brother, Frank, who lives on the home farm near Grant Park, Ill.
[NOTE -- Since Arthur's father was August Miller, the "Jr." is
likely a mistake in the newspaper.]
Mrs. Miller was a lifelong member of the First Methodist church of Lowell and homemaking and her family were her main interests in life.
Since 1940, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Randolph and family in Lowell.
Memorial services were conducted by Reverend Claude J. Eaton at Sheets funeral home on Saturday, July 26 at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in Plum Grove cemetery.
Survivors include 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of area friends and relatives.
Another article in the next column adds:
Mrs. Gladys Miller and son of Hillsdale, Ill., called here by the death of Mrs. August Miller, spent the week end in the Art Rudolph home.
